    Nope that’s just how it’s reading for some reason. You’ll notice the clock speed is supposed to be 3.4 Ghz so being only 2.4 on the 2nd core is kind of odd.

    The only way this would make sense then is if you had two physical processors (like a G5) but that would still be weird to have them run at different speeds.

    I know AMD had this issue with the x64 dual core cpu’s which required that you install a patch to fix the discrepency between the two cores. Perhaps Intel has the same sort of problem?

    probably something to do with the kernel I’m using, haven’t had the time to research it. Linux being run is CentOS 5.3 with kernel 2.6.18-8.el5 #1 SMP
