BigWinterDeal.com = Big Winter Scam

Author: Dan - Categories: Rants, Technical

Just wanted to give a heads up to any of my friends who may be shopping for tech items, that I stumbled across a site via PriceGrabber called BigWinterDeal.com. This site has some amazing deals but don’t be fooled, it’s a trick to steal your money.

More info at Yahoo! Answers

Happy Christmas shopping. (This is taking waaaay to long to load! Guess where I wrote this from :))

Flash and thoughts.

Author: Dan - Categories: Rants, Technical

I feel like launching into a tiraid against Flash and all it stands for. I’m visiting Mike’s site today with a freshly installed Konquerer / Firefox and it prompts me to install the Flash plugin.

Mike I have to admit I was tempted to berate you on the whole RSS Reader, one stop site before, but a Flash plugin — I mean I know it was Flash before just didn’t get to me till now — how low can you stoop? That’s like Hollow Blah level.

Anyway on an entirely different note, do not try and drive at 75 mph down the coast with the cold Santa Ana winds blowing, it’s not even funny.

On a more happy note the Sam Adams Winter Classics makes me happy. Cheers and good day to you.

Boycott Novell

Author: Dan - Categories: Technical

I knew there was a good reason to not go with their Groupwise package. Not only are they in bed with the strange bed fellow known as Microsoft (M$), but they are in that bed to screw over other distros of linux.

I guess it’s time to boycott Novell!

Soon whatever electronic device you use will have a big fat chunk of royalties going to M$ — way to enforce an monopoly. I say it’s time for Anti-Trust II.II!

How to wash a Lexar Jumpdrive Traveler

Author: Dan - Categories: Babblings, Technical

Put it in your pants pocket and stick your pants in the washer. After washing is completed, put it on top of your dresser and leave for 24-48 hours. Plug in and enjoy your clean Lexar Jumpdrive. I just did it and it works wonders … oh and be sure to toss in a bit of Oxyclean for good measure.

WARNING: DO NOT TRY THIS IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF DESTROYING YOUR LEXAR JUMPDRIVE TRAVELER. FEAR IS A KILLER.
