Folks, often ask me what’s the best solution for cleaning a laptop/flat panel/CRT screen. I’ve tried lots of different solutions but I’ve come up with one that I truly like — not only does it do the trick but it’s cheap and can be obtained at your local Walmart.

I use a 3M Microfiber Lens Cleaning Cloth, which will run around $3-$5. And your over the counter Lens Cleaner fluid which can be obtained for $2-$4, often with free refills included.

The thing that does the trick is the cloth which really picks up grime off your screen and doesn’t scratch it or leave lint trails behind. It’s also machine washable and has a decent life span.

When cleaning your screen, make sure that you don’t press too hard and wipe off all liquid. If you’ve got a spot that’s stubborn just spray a bit more cleaning fluid on it and gently wipe it until it comes off.
