For any Ubuntu/Kubuntu, and other derivatives, users out there who get tired of typing “sudo” before every root command, here’s an easy alternative:
sudo bash
Once you put in your password you’ll have a root level bash. Enjoy!

2It lasts until you log out by typing “exit”.

3but why wouldn’t you wanna type su before every command you type in the terminal.
I mean have you ever nanoed a long conf file only to find out you don’t have write permissions when you try to save?

4No I’ve never nanoed a long conf file, I’ve vi’d it though.
