Any 80s kid would probably remember the Speak n Spell toy developed by Texas Instruments. The other day my mom told me she was interested in getting one for my daughter so I did a little googling and stumbled across an excellent Flash emulation of the toy.

1Cool. I used that one a lot when I was a kid. Then they came out with all sorts of spin offs…speak and read…speak and create an oragami crane, or whatever. None were as good as the original. That would keep us going for hours. Probalby my first “computer game”. Ah, those were the simple days.
